Tissue-level therapeutic discovery

A cure for
endometriosis,
at the level of human tissue.

GEMINEYECO is an early-stage biotechnology venture decoding the biology of women's health and disease — and translating what it finds into the treatments women have gone without.

The starting point
A condition that affects millions of women — and still has no cure.
The method
Research conducted in human tissue, from the data to the disease models.

We study women's health where it actually begins — in human tissue, and in the matrix that holds it together.

Who we are

GEMINEYECO is an early-stage biotechnology venture built around a single conviction: that women's health has been under-researched for far too long, and that the conditions women live with deserve treatments designed for the biology behind them. We are an interdisciplinary team of scientists working to uncover the biological mechanisms that underlie women's health and disease — and to translate that understanding into better options for treatment.

Our stated starting point is endometriosis, a condition that affects millions and has gone without a cure. But our ambition is larger than any single diagnosis. We are building a way of doing therapeutic discovery — grounded in human tissue rather than distant proxies — that we believe can reshape how treatments for women are found. The company is backed by external investors who share that long view, and we share our progress as the science advances.

Our scientific foundation

Tissue &
matrix biology.

Most drug discovery begins far from the human body — in cell lines and animal models that only loosely resemble the disease they stand in for. GEMINEYECO begins somewhere else entirely: in human tissue itself, and in the matrix that surrounds and shapes it.

We pay particular attention to the extracellular matrix — the structural scaffold around every cell that governs how tissue behaves in health and in disease. By working at the level of the tissue niche, in both the data we collect and the disease models we build, we change what therapeutic discovery is able to see. The result is biology that mirrors what is actually happening inside the body, rather than an approximation of it.

The approach

How we pursue a cure.

Three connected objectives, all powered by one tissue-level method — turning a richer view of disease into therapies aimed where they matter.

Three objectives
01 / STRATIFY

Resolve the disease into its real subtypes

Conditions in women's health are too often treated as one disease when they are many. Using tissue-level data, we stratify these conditions and surface new health insights — distinguishing between subtypes that conventional methods group together — so treatment can finally be matched to the disease a person actually has.

02 / MODEL

Build physiological assays of the tissue niche

To find treatments that work in people, you need models that behave like people. We build physiological assays of the tissue niche — first of their kind — engineered to mimic human disease far more closely than the models discovery has long relied on. These living systems let us test hypotheses against biology that reflects the real thing.

03 / TARGET

Identify the targets that genuinely drive disease

A treatment is only as good as the target it aims at. By studying disease in human tissue and its matrix, we work to identify the biological targets that genuinely drive it — not the bystanders that merely accompany it. Those validated targets become the foundation for therapies directed exactly where they are needed.

An interdisciplinary science

Answering questions this hard takes more than one kind of scientist.

GEMINEYECO brings together expertise from across biology, engineering, and medicine — a single interdisciplinary team pointed squarely at the mechanisms of women's health and disease, and at translating them into treatments.

Why tissue-level discovery is different

A — DISTINCT BY DESIGNHuman biology, from the first experiment.

Because our data and our disease models come from human tissue and a human-derived sample, discovery is grounded in the real thing from the very start — a clear departure from the proxies that traditional drug development leans on.

B — RESOLUTIONOne name, many diseases.

Stratifying a condition into its true subtypes changes what a diagnosis means. Treatments can be matched to biology rather than to a single label that quietly covers many distinct diseases at once.

C — TRAJECTORYEndometriosis first, women's health next.

Endometriosis is where we begin. The tissue-and-matrix platform we are building is meant to extend well beyond it — toward the broader mission of understanding, and treating, women's health and disease.
